                About Me.

I am currently a joint graduate student at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute and the University of Massachusetts. During my past work, as the project coordinator for the Smithsonian Carnivore Conservation Project at Khao Yai National Park in Thailand, I led ranger teams and spent many weeks in Khao Yai National Park's dense jungles, photographing wild carnivores; among them dholes.  More recently, I have initiated my own field research on dholes.  I am pursuing a Ph.D. that will provide essential new information on the importance of dholes for natural ecosystems in Thailand, their behavior, and foremost their conservation status.  I am also interested in exploring the effects of spatial movement and group interactions on disease in wild canids.
